Seasonality of stranded tetrapod fauna in the Paraty Bay, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The high biological productivity presented along the Brazilian coast guarantees availability of resources and also protects a diverse community marine tetrapods. Physical factors can influence in these animal mortality rates analysis stranding patterns helps to comprehend external threats, as anthropic. We analysed effects seasonality richness abundance tetrapods stranded between 2016 2020 Paraty Bay, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In total, 588 strandings were recorded, Chelonia mydas being species with more abundance, followed by Sula leucogaster Sotalia guianensis. Among 28 species, birds highest, mammals reptiles. There was no significant difference numbers records throughout different seasons. similarity assemblies spring summer.
